Student Exchange Programs
THE Kutaisi University offers exchange opportunities to its students with American and European higher educational institution as well as those located in other parts of the world. In the framework of the individual cooperation, students are allowed to become exchange students in European and American leading universities for one or two semesters.
International Academic Mobility
- International mobility of students of Kutaisi University (UNIK) is carried out both a) within the framework of Erasmus + projects and International Credit Mobility Program (ICM), as well as b) through bilateral agreements with partner universities.
- Kutaisi University has implemented international mobility of students in the framework of Erasmus + projects and the International Credit Mobility Program at the following universities: University of Paris-Lodron, Salzburg (Austria); Pedagogical University of Upper Austria (Austria); University of Applied Sciences Amsterdam (Netherlands); Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland); Universidade do Minho (Portugal); Vilnius University (Lithuania); Canterbury Christ Church University (UK); Jagiellonian University (Poland); University of Lodz (Poland); Masarykova Univerzita (Czech Republic); Babes-Bolyai University (Romania); Gordon Academic College (Israel); The Mofet Institute (Israel);
- students of Kutaisi University have an opportunity to take part in international mobility on the basis of bilateral agreements in 14 partner universities. These are: Prague University of Finance and Administration, (Czech Republic); University of Vistula (Poland); WSB University of Poznan (Poland); Riga Stradins University (Latvia); Varna University of Management (Bulgaria); Dimitrie Cantemir University of Targu Mures (Romania); The West University of Timișoara (Romania); Based on the bilateral agreement, students of Kutaisi University are currently (academic year 2020-2021) academic year undertaking international mobility in Poland and Bulgaria.

The selection procedure of students and academic or administrative personnel for the participation in both of the international mobility schemes follows the “International Mobility Program Participation Rule”.
Bologna Process
The main objective of the Bologna Process is to create a European Higher Education Area and promote the European higher-education system around the world, to increase international competitiveness. To ensure the comparability of European university systems, the Bologna Declaration identified a number of main objectives, whose progress has been monitored and managed through a series of Ministerial Conferences, held between 1999 and 2018. Promoting the importance of a European higher education area: development of study plans, cooperation between universities, mobility programs, integrated study plans, training and research.
ERASMUS PLUS
The Erasmus Program ("European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students") is a European Union (EU) student exchange program established in 1987. Erasmus Plus, is the new program combining all the EU's current schemes for education, training, youth and sport, which was started in January 2014.
